Finally got the internet back up :-) Unfortunately the county that we live in, St. Lucie County (Treasure Coast), got the brunt of Frances and boy did we feel it. I spent 15 hours in our closet or other wise known as the "safe room." The sound of the wind and the tiles hitting the house was horrible. But my hubby was sleeping in bed along with the 3 cats most of the time - made me mad as I only got about 1 hour of sleep. We have a lot of damage to our roof and the pool area will probably have to be completely rescreened. Gas, ice, bottled water, meat and dairy products are scarce but improving compared to a couple of days ago. In fact yesterday was a very good day for us as we got milk, lettuce, the last 2 bags of ice and gas. Hurray! Getting tired of this boil water alert and still living in a tomb with most of the shutters still up but I am so THANKFUL that we only lost power for 1 day, think it is because Home Depot is on our power. The past 2 months have certainly been the busiest hurricane season since we have been down here. And now we need to scare Ivan away. To those that have emailed me in regards to questions, postings to the site, etc., it might take me awhile to get back to you - but I will. And if you don't hear back from me within a month please email me back as I might have lost some emails while we were down Jackie Hufschmid
