We are not related (we don't think). From the Appleton Post Crescent 12/31/1940 Dies at Milwaukee Milwaukee - Mrs. Jennie E Coon, Widow of Dr John W Coon, a Wisconsin physician who was prominent in tuberculosis prevention work in the nation died here today. Mrs Coon was born in New Lisbon, Wis in 1869. She was the daughter of the late S D Macomber, pioneer farmer and horse breeder. She married JOHNSTON C. RITCHART 1843, son of JOHN RITCHART and MARY. EDWARD7 MACOMBER (JOHN6, WILLIAM5, TIMOTHY4, WILLIAM3, WILLIAM2, WILLIAM1) was born November 12, 1799 in Saratoga Co., NY1, and died July 14, 1854 in along the road side in Cook Co., IL1. He married (1) HARRIET GARDNER2. He married (2) JANE C.. (Trying to determine the name of Edward's wife and any other details of his life!) There is a listing on WorldConnect that joins Henry to Edward and Harriett. It lists his birth place as Clearfield, PA As we said we don't think we are related. We are searching for a girl born about April 21, 1865 in Juneau Co. She was orphaned by 1870 and living in Dodge Co., MN. She appears to have been adopted by 2 Stanbridge Sisters (Olive and Sarah). We know her as Mary Emma (unknown) (Gould) (Lyke) (Cross) Stevens. If in your research, you come across a girl born about then and orphaned at a young age, we would love to know about it.
