Backus died at the home of his daughters at Mauston, WI on Aug. 23, 1891. The obituary said he was buried in the new cemetery at Mauston. Could someone tell me what cemetery was the new one in 1891. I would like to find where Timothy Backus is buried. His children were George of Whitewater, Clyde of Glendale, Mrs. Harry (Rhoda) Davis of Mauston, Mrs. T.J. (Cornelia) Hickok of Hillsborough, Mrs. Joe (Betsey) McCune of Elroy and Mrs. Thomas (Estella) Deford of Glendale. One sister Mrs. L.J. Stowe of Whitewater. Will exchange information with any descendants.
