We are having a major problem. Two men in Iowa are stealing FREE information from a wonderful lady that belongs to the list. They are copying and pasting her information onto their site then CHARGING $45-50 to us to see the information. If you would would you read the letter below and do what your heart tells you to do. Please don't let this past you, it only takes a couple of minutes to write a letter and send it to the Attorney General in Iowa. One they are violating copyright laws and two they are committing fraud! Please help this also involves you, because these two people might be stealing your information and putting it on their site! Please visit her site and then click on the "attorney general" link which will allow you to send a complaint to the Iowa Attorney General. Maybe if enough of us complain, they will do something. Your message need not be long. Just state that the web site Family Discovery is committing fraud and are violating copy right laws and that you support free genealogy on the web. You will see that he has "copy and pasted" info. directly from my Standerfer site and posted the info. on his site. I have changed the URL's for the links so that they no longer work. This is only a temporary measure and I can't keep changing them for the Standerfer or the Hamilton County site. If he is not stopped, he will no doubt collect a large database of Genweb info. and personal homepage info. http://128.121.230.66/Records/states/alabama.htm There is a telephone number for Mr. Abodeely that is listed and I tried to call.
