Taylor, Owner of Spring Brook Farm Killed Monday Night - One of Our Best Known Farmers. S. G. Taylor, proprietor of Spring Brook farm and owner of the Spring Brook Herd of cattle was gored to death by a bull Monday afternoon as he was leading the animal to water. Mr. Taylor was born in Hartford, Michigan, May 8, 1850 and came to Wisconsin about 27 years ago, settling in the town of Lindina. He was one of Juneau County's most progressive farmers and his great pride was in his fine herd of cattle, which was one of the best in a county where fine stock predominates. He was a man of exceptionally fine qualities, broad minded and just in his dealings with all; a good neighbor and a sincere friend. His death is a distinct loss to the community in which he has so long lived. He leaves a wife and eight children to mourn the loss of a kind husband and loving father. The funeral will be held today at 2:00 o'clock at the home, Rev. S. B. Penney of the Presbyterian church of Neillsville, will conduct the services and interment will be in the Mauston cemetery.
