Anton is g-g-g-grandfather of mine. A message was posted by Carl Nemecek back in 2000, and what he was requesting was info on Frank J. Schmidt, married to Rosa Piechel and also on Frank A. Schmidt, married to Bertha. They are my gggrandparents and grandparents. I have sent a couple of messages to him but as of yet no response. Any info you can give me on the Pfeifer family would be greatly appreciated. Have been on this for quite a few years, but moved after I had contact with Carl and finally got ancestry so hope I can get in touch with him.

R/S MAK ++++ thanks for your generous offer to do look-ups In your Cemetery Book #1. Would you please see if there are any FARRAR's listed? I am looking for MINOR FARRAR, biological mother of Minnie Ione Loomis, adopted daughter of Sarah and Jonathan Ira Loomis who lived in Kildare. She was born in 1861, so her mother may have died somewhere between 1861 and 1870. I found Minnie as a 9 year old living with the Loomis's in the 1870 census. I saw in a Broderbund CD that there were a couple FARRAR's living in Armenia Twp in 1860- perhaps one is her father or mother. There was a "Cyrus" and a "Minot". Possibly "Minot" is a mistranscription of "Minor" or possibly a mistake made by my Grandmother when she wrote the name on the back of a photo identifying the person shown as Minnie Ione's real mother. R/S MAK http://www.rootsweb.com/~wimonroe +++++ Maptech topo software used for creating maps of cemetery locations for the History Room found the "Millards Prairie" cemetery. It is located about 2 1/2 miles north of Union Center, WI on county highway W. Actually it is on the Vernon County - Juneau County line about 1 1/4 miles south (as the crow flies) of the Monroe-Vernon-Juneau counties junction. Hope this helps. Ralph Hendersin <ralphjan@centurytel.net> +++++ I live in California. I was rather surprised that there is no mention of The Millard's Prairie Cemetery in your project. I have many ancestors buried there, including Morgans and Teeds. George C Morgan buried with Mary (Teed) Morgan and children Fannie and Frank are my Great Grand parents. There is another plot with George Morgan, Margaret, Mary and I believe Jane. This George Morgan is the father of George C. Morgan, Thomas Prosper Morgan. There is another plot with a Morgan on it but I don't recall if it is Richard or Robert. I think Richard. Micaja Teed and Betsy Teed were the parents of Mary Morgan Teed. There are other Teed people buried there, too. I have visited the Cemetery maybe three times in my life. Once with my parents in the 1960*s and twice on the 1990's. On the later visitthe stone for Micaja Teed was missing. I have pictures of some of the stones taken in the winter. Robert Lee Smith <ljs290ct1913@sbcglobal.net>

Hello All, An interesting newspaper article about the pre-railroad and early settlement of central Wisconsin has just been placed on the Wood County WiGenWeb site. He was born in 1818 in NY and was living in Juneau WI in the 1900 census. He was 83 years old. By 1910, I can't find him. I assume he passed away during that 10 year period. His wife's name was Maria, and she had passed by the 1900 census. Any help locating either of their death information would be appreciated. Thanks so much in advance. Rozalyn

CORONER'S JURY John Godrey, Esq., Dear Sir: It is thought by many best for you to proceed and summon a coroner's jury to investigate the cause of Mr. Kniskin's death. Yours truly, W. L. Fuller. Necedah, Wis., Aug 26, 1886 A summons was immediately issued and placed in the hands of M. Coughlin and the following jury summoned: John Hanihan, foreman, Jas. Quin, C. D. Loomis, T. M. Canfield, J. Stowasser, T. Williams. The investigation took place at the residence of the deceased, and the evidence showed that the deceased was apparently in good health when he went to bed at 11 o'clock of the 25th inst., and at 4:30 next morning he was found dead in bed by his son Walter. Doctor Reed made a careful examination of the case, and following verdict was returned by the jury: "That the late Stephen Kniskin, came to his death in a natural manner, from chronic or acute disease of the heart."
