    3. Steve and Juneau List Readers, Jackie and I (Joan B) are glad our work has helped you and thanks for your praise and encouragement. If there are other census enumerations you'd like to see online fairly soon, we welcome donations of photocopies from census microfilm. If you borrow a reel of Juneau Co film via your local library, state historical society, AGLL or LDS Family History Center, please consider photocopying and mailing some pages for us to work on. Or, if you would like to type a census for the Juneau Co rootsweb site, just let Jackie know. You don't need to know html, Jackie takes care of the "mysterious html" stuff. Jackie's e-mail is [email protected] Best wishes, everyone! 3. Also researching Wildermuth, just received a few pages from the book "Johann David Wildermuth and his descendants, 1752-1964" compiled and edited by Ruth Kline Lee. It doesn't seem to contain much info on the Wildermuth's of Richland County. 1. New Library
    2. Nichols, Terry
    3. Hi Rooters, I was in Mauston this weekend, the new library is beautiful. I did some research in the old library and the lady said the new library will be open in April. She showed me the new genealogy section in the new library-great. This new library will be the centerpoint of Mauston and the people should be very proud of what they accomplished. Hope I didn't waste anyone's time, but I thought someone may be following the Library's progress. Best Regards, Terry Nichols

    1. BOORMAN House
    2. joan benner
    3. I think someone on the list a few weeks ago posted a request for BOORMAN family information. I recently checked PERSI on CD (1998 version) and found something I'd like to pass along. In the Juneau County Historical Society Quarterly Bulletin, October 1987 issue, is an article about the Boorman House, built 1875-77, Mauston WI I do not have a copy of this periodical but you might be able to request a photocopy of the article inter-library-loan through your local library, or can request one from the Allen County Public Library Foundation in Fort Wayne IN, who produces the index of genealogy and historical periodicals. If you would like to learn more about PERSI, please see the article I've written in the USIGS Signal at http://www.usigs.org/signal/99-03-2.htm Best wishes!! Joan M. Benner, Golden Rule Genealogy Member of the Association of Professional Genealogists and Rootsweb Sponsor Friendly Professional Research, Guided by the Golden Rule Specializing in Central Wisconsin Records P.O. Box 1559, Wisconsin Rapids WI 54495-1559 or for more information, http://www.rootsweb.com/~wiwood/resource/r-joanb.htm Do the right thing. It will gratify some people and astonish the rest.

    1. Looking thru old postings.
    2. Terry Thompson
    3. For those of you who might not be aware of Rootsweb's tool for searching through postings on a list and are curious if some one might have posted something about your family name before you joined, you can do that. Go to: searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl type in WIJUNEAU. When the next page comes up type in the name you are interested in and select 1998,99 or 2000. If you have a hit, you can see the entire posting or just parts of it. I use it frequently to go through other name and location lists. The entire List of Rootsweb lists can be found at: www.rootsweb.com/~maillist/ . Terry Thompson, Listkeeper

    2. Vivian Pridgen-Brockway
    3. I thank you, too, Joan. My Albert Brockway was there! Does anyone have the 1890 Armenia federal census? I would very much appreciate a look-up for the Albert L Brockway household. He was my husband's great-grandfather. He was born in New York but his wife Martha Ann Johnson was born in Armenia. I don't know the birthdates or parents of either of them. Their son George Henry Brockway was born in 1880 in Armenia and married there in 1903. I have a birth certificate and a marriage license for him. Any information on either Brockway or Johnson families would be very much appreciated. Vivian and George Edward Brockway South Bend, IN

    1. Sauk County History Book
    2. Terry Thompson
    3. Hi all - Just got this posting from the Sauk List. Since there may be some of you like me with folks in both counties, you may want to indicate your interest. If so, reply to Kathy directly, not to this list. Thanks Terry Thompson, WIJUNEAU Listkeeper ******************************************************** Submitter: Kathy Waddell ([email protected]) Date: 21 Jan 2000 URL: www.saukcounty.com/schs Just a hypothetical question: If our Historical Society made Butterfield's 1880 Sauk County History, WITH AN INDEX, for the pre-sale price of $75.00 with shipping included, would you be interested? The book is 800 plus pages and currently sells elsewhere without an index for $85.00 plus shipping. If we get many interested, we will probably have the books available by this summer. We are just curious as to the market for the book before we invest. If you know anyone else who would be intereste, please ask them also. We would appreciate any feedback. Thank you, Kathy Waddell, Archivist Sauk County Historical Society [email protected]
