Columbia was a town that no longer exists and was in Clark County, between Neillsville and Merrillan. On page 8 of this book it says, "Then Theodore Barber of Withee came in as principal." Then there is a very nice photo of him, approx a 3&1/2 by 4&1/2. Under the photo it says, "Professor Barber from Withee added dignity to the school scene." There really isn't a date with this, as she is just listing the various teachers that taught at the Columbia school, starting in the early 1890's and going to 1945 when it closed. The photo is a professionally done one. If you would like me to make a copy of this page for you I would be glad to do it, just send me your address. Also, FYI, there is presently being done a book about Alma Center, to be done next year, as part of the celebration of the ! centennial of Alma Center. Perhaps there will be something about him in there. Jane
