Dec 30, 1878 in Black River Falls, Jackson Co, WI, and Ortentia Almeda Hadley, b. 1824 in NY, d. Sep 19, 1907 in Franklin, Jackson Co, WI. After John's death, Ortentia married William Caves in 1881. John's and Ortentia's children (those who lived to adulthood) were: Olive L. Edmunds, 1840-1907 (or possibly 1905), married John Marcus Olson, 1829/36-1893. Bailey Edmunds, 1844-1917, married Jane Martin 1844-1921 Mary A Edmunds, 1851- (bef 1917), married Cyril C. Clark Hershell Jesse Edmunds, 1853-1901, married Frances Rowena Beach, 1857-1923 Estelle Edmunds, 1854- (bef 1878) Almeda Edmunds, 1855-?, married William C Shean, 1852-? Lucy E Edmunds, 1858-1935, married Oscar Alphonso Thompson 1855-? Martha Edmunds, 1864-1904, married (1) Daniel C Kenyou, married (2) Marvin Walker. After coming to Wisconsin from Illinois, the family was located in the vicinity of Black River Falls, Jackson Co, WI. Several are buried in Riverside Cemetery or Irving Cemetery. Ortentia Hadley Edmunds was the sister of my 3rd great-grandmother. I have information and family photographs to share.
