Herman died either 8 Jan 1891, or 8 Feb 1891 in Soudan, St. Louis County, Minnesota. Previous to his death he and his family lived in Black River Falls, Jackson County, Wisconsin. His widow had a portrait of herself and children after Herman's death taken at the Van Schiack Studio in Black River Falls. I assume she went back to Black River Falls to see relatives. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
