Posted on: Jackson County Wi. Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Wi/Jackson/10459 Surname: Miller, Boyea, Lowers ------------------------- There are so many Wm. Millers, as you say. Thanks for responding. The line we are researching came from VA to MO to WI. Two siblings, William and Annie/Anna came together from MO, we assume born there. Their father from VA originally. His name Isaiah Randolph Miller, b.11 Mar.1833, d. 14 Feb 1910. Son Wm. b. 1858/9, d. 1927, buried in Ladysmith. His sibling (we assume full) was Anna Martin Miller, no dates known, married Alphonse Boyea, all of their children, well at least 3 of 4, born Black River Falls. They had a (probable) half-sib, Americus Columbus Miller, quite a bit younger, who came from MO to WI with his father after the older sibs. The elder Miller was born in VA, and his father was named William, too, born in Germany. I suppose he could have come to VA by way of NY. Maybe this will help you rule any connection in or out. If "in", let us know! Best wishes in your research. These "common" names are especially tough. We believe our Miller/Boyea family lived in Jackson County at least during the years that their children were born.
