Wi Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Wi/GreenLake/336 Surname: Schmuhl, Shubert, Shrader ------------------------- Much of this information has a Green Lake County setting. David, the names are connected. I think you will be able to give me much added information, or your mother can. Space here will not be sufficient for all you might wish to know so will be sending you an e-mail. My wife is Alice Amelia Schubert, daughter of Gustav Adolph Shubert and Mildred Merle Slaback. Gustav, long ago deceased, is the only child of Amelia Shrader and Adolph Augustus Shubert. Amelia first married Adolph; they divorced after some 19 years of marriage and Amelia married, as I recall, a Mr. birkholz, who soon died. She married a 3d time to Winterhack and lies at eternal rest with him in the Woodlawn(?) cemetery at Ripon. Amelia was born in Germany in 1864 and moved with her parents, Frederick? Wilhelm Shrader and Carlina or Caroline Boack(Boeck?) to Wisconsin. Emma was born thr 7th of March, 1875 when the family lived in Dodge County. I don't know where the third family sibling, Gustoff, was born in 1867 but he is buried at Princeton, Wisconsin. I have some information on the six children of Richard and Emma. Alice and I have met Ben and Caroline several times and visited with Myrtle Emma at least once. We may have met others at a family gathering shortly after Alice and I were married. I remember that when we stopped by at Myrtle's house, she had pictures of Alice, and Alice's sister Gusta, when the girls were small. In summary, William would be a cousin of Gustav Shubert; Alice would be a second cousin to Elizabeth and a second cousin once removed to you. Before I send that e-mail I will wait to hear from you as you will probably have more questions. Have fun getting your genealogy together. Russ Williams
