PrellwitzBerlin Journal Mar 26, 1951 "Final Rites for Carl H. Prellwitz Wednesday P.M. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, March 21 for Carl Herman Prellwittz, age 74, Berlin, at 2:00 o'clock at St. John's Lutheran church in Berlin. Rev. H. Baker officiated and interment was in the Koro cemetery. Pallbearers were: Alfred Krause, Edward Lichtenberg, Earnest Kretzmann, Henry Schliepp, William Prellwitz and Charles Henderson. Relatives and friends attended the funeral from North Dakota, Rush Lake, Ripon, Oshkosh, Poy Sippi, Auroraville and Berlin. Mr. Prellwitz passed away at the Berlin Memorial Hospital, Saturday evening March 17 at 815 o'clock following a short illness. He was born on April 28, 1876 in Possen, Germany the son of the late Herman and Emma Prellwitz. When he was nine months old he came to the United States with his parents and settled in Princeton. On March 21, 1907 he was united in marriage to Anna Yerkeie in Willow City, North Dakota. After their marriage they resided in Willow City until 1922 (?). They then moved on a farm in Ripon. In 1946 he retired and moved to Berlin where he resided until time of death. The deceased was a member of St. John's Lutheran church in Berlin. His occupation during his life time was farming. Survivors included his wife, Anna; five sons, Louis___North Dakota, Clarence, Ripon, Philip and Raymond, Rush Lake and M___ of the U. S. Air Force stationed in Africa; two daughters, Mrs. Wesley Walker (Ellie ?) Bro___North Dakota; Mrs. Lester Prellwitz (Marguerite, Rush Lake, three sisters, Mrs. Ida Krenow(?) Ripon; Mrs. Walter Sp____(Emma), Oshkosh; and Mrs. Annette ____Cincinnati. Sister-in-law Mrs. Lily Prellwitz, Edgar and 41 (?) Grandchildren.
