I definitely have to plan a trip to Green Lake. As for Catherine Domagata, she is probably in the Oborniki records. There is a Thomas Domagala that had many children in the early 1800's. If this is the right family, it will also give Francis' maiden name. There are many different villages listed in the Ludomy church records. The local parish was in Ludomy, so that is where all the Catholic records were kept. Yes, Domagata and Domagala/Domagawa are the same name. The Polish alphabet has a letter that looks like an "l" with a line through it (or basically a "t"). During transcription, it gets turned into an "l" or a "t". This goofy "l" or "t" letter sounds like "w", so that's where Domagawa comes from. Confusing, huh? Anyway, I'm going to FHC on Monday.
