    3. Hello List, I am new to this list, but am searching for information about ancestors of mine. An Abner Bradbury, born 20/12/1787 in Athens Maine, married Eunice Hall 3/5/1814 in Belfast, Maine, had 9 children all born in Athens Maine. Then before 1850 moved to Green Lake County, WI. His 5th child, my ancestor, was Benjamin Franklin Bradbury, born 3/11/1824. He married a Clarissa Calfurina Bowers in 1853 in Green lake County. Their first child, Ada Jane, was born in Markessan, Green County 11/3/1853. Ada married Nelson Schuyler West from Grafton, NY in Rice Lake in 1873. Nelson West had been previously married Orra Louisa Bowers in 1865, a sister to Clarissa Calfurina Bowers, wife of B. F. Bradbury. Orra apparently died after which Mr. West married Ada Bradbury, niece of his first wife. Almost immediately after the marriage of Ada Bradbury to Nelson West the family of B. F. Bradbury, including Nelson West and Ada, moved by wagon to Beaver Creek area of Nebraska where they lived first in sod houses. Over time the town of Lebanon was built there and both Mr. Bradbury and Mr. West played a large role in establishing the town. However, Mrs. Clarissa Bradbury became ill and died in Lebanon in 1901. By that time Ada had separated from her husband and had moved with her three younger daughters into the home of her father., Mr. B. F. Bradbury. After the death of his wife, Mr. Bradbury moved back to Rice Lake, WI. where he died in 1906. Ada subsequently sold the place in Wisconsin and about 1910 moved with her children to Tennessee . My questions are: Can we establish just when Abner Bradbury moved to Wisconsin taking along his son Benjamin Franklin? Can we learn anything about the parents of the Bowers girls who married Benjamin F. Bradbury and Nelson S. West? Can we learn when Mr. West came to Wisconsin? Is there any information bout the return of Mr. Bradbury to Rice Lake? It would appear there was some connection to Rice Lake before the move to Nebraska since the marriage of Nelson West to Ada Bradbury was in that place. As you can see, I am trying to put together a story so any information about West, Bradbury, or Bowers would be of value to me. The only locations I am familiar with are mentioned. If either of you have anything to contribute in response it would be most welcome. I would be happy to share information if it would be wanted. Thank you, Forrest L. Fuller (docfuller@juno.com)
