I want to thank you all for all of the VERY positive responses. Many of the mail list administrators have stated it is all right to continue to post the reminders I am choosing not too. I did not solely join the county mail lists to place a weekly reminder on them. I felt I could contribute to others research not only by having a gathering place (weekly chat), but I have also answered many questions for many different researchers on the various county mail lists. I was hoping to help others. Should anyone need information on the Wisconsin Genealogy weekly chat-I have this information posted on the Waupaca County Website at the following address http://www.rootsweb.com/~wiwaupac/index.htm. I will will continue to post chat reminders on the Waupaca County mail list, WauShaOcon Mail List and Wisconsin Mail List. Hope you all break through those brick walls and find those lost ancestors-have a great week! I guess I didn't feel once a week email would unset anyone and that it would let the new people to the lists know of the weekly genealogy chat. So this will be the last notice of the weekly chats. I have repeated the instructions below and feel if anyone is interested in the weekly chat can print this out and refer to it for information. Hope to see you there Sunday night and happy hunting! Here are step by step instructions- 1-Go to the site http://huntsville.about.com/citiestowns/southeastus/huntsville/mpchat.htm 2-Click on Log on to chat in the upper left area of the screen. This takes you to another screen. 3-At this screen type in your name or a name you are going to use in the chat room in the space next to Nick name. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO TYPE ANYTHING ELSE IN ANY OF THE OTHER SPACES. Once you have typed in your name, click on OK, connect in the lower left. 4-You are in the chat room. Type your message in the lower left space where it says Type here and then hit enter. A few helpful hints. There is a list on the right side of the screen of all the people who are in the room. To enlarge the screen for easier reading click on the float button in the upper right hand corner. To enlarge the font, also for easier reading, in the space where you type your message type *chat fontsize 14, this will enlarge the font size. I would imagine he would have had to have been at least 13, if not much older by that time. so I'm looking for someone born before 1856. For Michael Krueger, the dates are September, 1866 and May, 1871. Do you have anything on your Martin's parents? Do you know where in Germany the family originated?

Posted on: GreenLake Co. Wi Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Wi/GreenLake/313 Surname: Murphy, Gorey ------------------------- My gg-grandparents John Charles MURPHY and Margaret GOREY of Montello were married in 1856 or 1857 in the Catholic church that was then in the village of St. Marie in Green Lake County. Does anyone know whether this church's records still exist somewhere, perhaps intermingled with those of another Catholic church in the area? The village of St. Marie was on the east bank of the Fox, about two miles northeast of the present location of Princeton. That church, usually called St. Mary, then had a resident priest, who also served other nearby congregations. In the succeeding years, the village of St. Marie suffered serious floods, and rather than rebuild, most residents moved, in some cases taking buildings with them, to Princeton. The Catholic church in St. Marie continued operating for a time as a mission church, without a resident priest. Services there were discontinued in 1875, but it was operated as a shrine from 1892 to 1903. The small red brick church was torn down in 1916. I am hoping someone can tell me where its records are, so I can see my gg-grandparents' marriage record.
