Posted on: GreenLake Co. Wi Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Wi/GreenLake/365 Surname: Pierce, Van Deusen ------------------------- I have a Charles W. Pierce born New York in 1842. He married a Zoa Van Duesen who was born in Oneida, NY in 1853. Oneida borders Oswego. Zoa's family is known to have lived in Princeton, Green Lake, Wisconsin. By 1870 Charles and Zoa have moved on to MN. I have been trying to determine Charles parents with no luck yet. Have speculated the Pierce family may have lived in the same area as the Van Duesen's either in New York or Wisconsin. Perhaps your Joseph C. is a brother, father, uncle of my Charles?
We are a small group and a bit inactive but we are indeed here! None of your names are immediately familiar to me, but I wonder if Mazsick is a variation of the Mashock/Mashak/ Majshak names that are common around the area. I only have one Majshak married into a branch of my line -- but you may want to keep an eye out for all spellings. Regards, Deb Gunther list administrator, Green Lake Co. As always anyone is welcome to join our discussion list; please see the main page of rootsweb.com.) Thanks to James Carey for his work getting this cemetery online! I've already found several of my relatives there. If you have family that at one time or another lived in this area of Wisconsin, there's a good chance there are relatives in this cemetery. First death buried there is listed as 1801, although as I recall, the city officially began in 1847 or thereabouts. If you have friends or relatives or family that have been looking in Central Wisconsin or as some call it "Wisconsin's Heartland", please let them know about this resource. It's great.
