Does anyone know which church Anton Langsdorf or any Langsdorf was a member? Most likely in Manchester Twp or Manchester Twp in Green Lake County. It would had been prior to 1900 as they are shown in the 1900 census in Wausau. Looking for birth info and any other records kept by the church.

I did not come across a death certificate for Alexander K. Doty but I did find his grave in Oakwood Cemetary, Berlin, WI There is a tower monument: A.K. DOTY died 4/11/1889 aged 64 yrs ESTER S wife of Alex K.Doty 10/27/1830 1/28/1922 Then there were separate stones: Alexander K. Doty 10/26/1824 4/11/1889 Kirk son of A.K & E.S Doty 8/14/1861 10/14/1900 and several small markers around the tower marker: BABY H.D. MARY This marker was also there. It looked like it belonged to the family plot: JNO.Sporer CO. E 26th WIS INF Location of these graves are on the hill directly behind the Chapel. I didn't come across anything on Lilly May Doty

Also found Mable Frances Fox born 2/8/1897 - Seneca, Green Lake Co, WI (Vol B, Pg 211) It was a delayed filing of birth.....filed on 11/29/1939 Other Siblings were: Lillian Anna (Fox) Leigh b. 12/4/1879, Charles Sumner Fox b. 7/22/1876, Edward Bernard Fox b. 12/29/1877, Alma Matilda (Fox) Seibenhaar b. 1/17/18, Roy Chester Fox b. 1/5/1884, Fred Amos Fox b. 12/31/1886, Cora Lydia (Fox) Jones b. 9/27/1887, Louisa Caroline (Fox) Krebs b. 2/1/1892. Parents names were Edward Augustus & Bertha (Wilde) Fox. and all were listed as being born in Seneca, Green Lake Co, WI Edward was also listed as being deceased when the delayed births were filed in 1937 & 1939 and he was born in Boston. Bertha (Wilde) Fox was still living and was born in Berlin Germany.

Their son Martin,& daughter Julianna & her husband August Heeler also came with them. They belonged to St.Pauls Lutheran Church in Manchester. Julianna and August Heeler's oldest daughter, Ida Pauline Heeler, married Fred August Birkholz in Monroe Co, WI. (we seem to have a lot of names in common. Is there any connection?) Caroline(Beier)Petrich's father's name is beleived to be Wm. Beier/Beyer. Caroline died 9/23/1995 in Kingston, WI as Karolina Bischoff. Would like to get a copy of her obit.

The complete 1880 Census transcription is now available by mail from LDS at http://www.familysearch.org. You get all 56 CDs in a nice ring binder, completely searchable. And the cost is just $49, and there is no shipping charge. I've just gotten mine and it's an amazing set of data. (Keep in mind that if your ancestors arrived after 1880 it won't be of much use to you...) Many of the names are misspelled, of course (par for the course if you've seen census records before.) So you have to do some creative searching. In one case I had to search through 128 women named Mary born in 1876 living in one county, but I found the right one. Deb Gunther
