    1. THE RICH EAT YOU!!
    2. Congratulations to the City of Green Lake for letting the "new money" yuppies have their way again!! The new sewer plan proposal is going to thin out the not-so-well-to-do people who have owned houses on Green Lake for 30 or more years. This way, the city can raise property taxes through the roof and let the developers run wild; further destroying one of the most beautiful places on earth. But hey, the city employees need their SUVs and golf trips too right? What's the irony of this scenario? All of the new people shelling out serious money for their own personal lake-side compounds expect the lake to still be clean enough for their kids to swim in when they grow up. Too bad the pollution level increases greatly every year due to PWC traffic and increased run-off from construction sites. Ah, but who needs the lake anyway? That's not what this is all about. It's about having a possesion, a "trophy" to show off to one's friends. How many times do you see the idle rich actually swimming in the water? I hope you all enjoy each other's selfish, back-stabbing company.

    1. Re: Lloyd Chapman
    2. I am interested in your informaton on Lloyd Chapman. I have found out through census records that my Granfather's brother's name is Lloyd. My uncle had told me there is also an uncle Leo in the family. While searching for grandpa's brother; I found a california death record of a Leo Lloyd Chapman. With the other information listed; This person is my grandfather's uncle. Any information would be greatly excepted. I have been hitting my head on a brick wall with this side of the family for a long time.

    1. Nichols - 1850's and 1860's
    2. Ethelbert and Laura (Cooper) Nichols moved to Green County (St. Marie?) in the 1850's from New York. Ethelbert's father, Amos, may have also been with them. My gg grandfather, Daniel Webster Nichols, was born in Wisconsin. I am trying to determine exactly where they lived and if Daniel had any siblings. I am also trying to find out if Ethelbert and Laura moved to Minnesota when their children did or stayed in Wisconsin. If anyone has information on this family, please let me know.

    1. Roeder Family from Princeton
    2. Steve Pueppke
    3. Several of my ancestor families (MECHTEL, LENZ, BLOCK, and SCHAVE) lived near Princeton and attended the Zion Evangelical Church. Starting about 1880, a number of them moved west to Minnesota and Dakota Territory, where they homesteaded. Eventually, many of them settled in Union Township, Grand Forks County, ND, where they founded Holmes Evangelical Church, which stands to this day. At least one ROEDER family also settled in this area and became well known in the church. An 1890 plat map lists land in the possession of Augusta Roeder and Herman Roeder, and a Union Township history lists the marriage of Ferdinand Roeder and Bertha Schave as the first in the township. I am quite certain that this is the Roeder family that recently appeared on the list. I have the church history and other documents that I would be happy to share. I'd be interested if anyone has information on the MECHTEL, LENZ, BLOCK, or SCHAVE families. They came from Kreis Soldin, Prussia and settled in Green Lake County before 1860. 3. According to the 1900 Census, Mason Dickerson b. 7/1865 WI was living in Mackford, Green Lake Co. WI with his wife Nellie? b. 12/1865 WI and children Oscer P. 4/1888 WI, Marcella R. 8/1889 WI, Mary R. 3/1892 WI, Elin L. 7/1894 WI and Maron Y? (a son) 11/1897 WI. Mason's father was b. in NY and mother was b. in CT. Nellie's parents were b. NY. I searched the 1880 census for surnames beginning with Dick. The Mlodzik families of Princeton were probably related to the wife Auguste, through her dead father and her widowed mother. I am trying to compile all Mlodzik descendants. I also know that Felix Mlodzik came to the area and lived with an unknown uncle, and it's possible that's August Roeder.

    2. I went to the Church in Princeton for my Frost(Mroz) family and the Priest showed me the records, but they were all in Polish and neither of us could read them. He also said that the Morman's have the records on film. I am going soon to a Family History Center (Church of Latter-Day Saints) to request the film to look at. Please check your records and see if you can find any connection.
