This sweet, tender flower had only been blooming in the shadowy vale called life for about four months and ten days, when it was suddenly plucked and planted on the verdant shores of the River of Life, flowing down through the gardens of heaven, by the Father who giveth and taketh away. Frankie had his mission and work to do; this fulfilled he was borne on the snowy pinions of an angel to a home beyond the skies and to the bosom of God. On, sorrowing father and mother, think not of little Frankie as in the cold and lonely tomb, but with a crown of immortality and a song of praise waiting by the pearly gates of the heaven for mama and papa. Think, too, of the trouble and sorrow he has missed, of the rugged pathways of life, of its jagged stones and crude mountains, its heart rending trials, and mourn not that he has left you, but let his death be a tie binding you forever to heaven, and rejoice that forever through the endless ages of eternity, he is safe, for: Ere sin could blight or sorrow fade; Death came with friendly care; The opening bud to heaven conveyed, and bade it blossom there.
