Wi Obituaries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Wi/GreenObits/10595 Surname: Micheltree, Morris ------------------------- Albany, Green County Wisconsin Vindicator Thursday, Jan. 7, 1897 Samuel Scott Micheltree was born at Forest Home, Poweshiek Co, Iowa Oct. 8, 1870. Departed for the higher life Dec. 31, 1896, being 26 years, 2 months and 23 days of age. He and his elder brother, Leonard, returned with their widowed mother to her childhood home in Monroe, Wis., Nov, 15, the father having been stricken with typhoid fever and passed away, after a short illness of 11 days, the preceding August. In the fall of 1883 he removed with his family to Albany, where he has since resided, with the exceptioin of perhaps two years passed in other places. July 5, 1890 he was married to Rosella Morris, who passed to the better life on april 26, 1894. Of this union were born two children, Zeola Arlene, born Oct. 8, 1891 and a son who was buried in the same casket with his mother. As a member of the Masonic and Odd Fellows orders he was held in high appreciation; and it can be safely said no one more fully valued the advantages derived thereof often speaking in highest praise and thankfulness of his "brothers". Being a great reader and having a retentive memory, his mind was stored with useful knowledge; but as nothing is lost, we know that he is the more fully prepared to enter into the duties of the great beyond.
