Wi Obituaries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Wi/GreenObits/10609 Surname: Zentner, Stephenson ------------------------- Albany, Green County Wisconsin Vindicator, Thursday, September 28, 1893 Master Fred Zentner, son of Issiah and Mary Zentner, died at the home of his parents on Jordan Prairie, Sept. 20, 1893, aged 14 years, 3 months and 9 days. When three or four years of age, he went to live with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel Stephenson, near the Gap Church, and remained with them most of the time until his last illness. The deceased was ill but a few days and his sudden death was a hard blow to his parents, and brothers, but especially to the grandparents. It was pathetic to hear these aged people speak of their lonliness. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. C.W. Robinson, the sermon being preached in the Gap Church Thursday Sept. 21 to a large audience of neighbors and friends. The text was from Ex. 1:6 "And Joseph died and all his brethren and all that generation". It was shown that the history of all must close with a similar sentence. That the time of death is unknown and while the old must die, the young may died and that this second should influence us to "work the work of him that sent me while it is day" as "the night cometh when no man can work". The remains were interred in the Gap Church cemetery. We extend our sympathies to the bereaved friends.
