In 1820 he was married to Abel Peckham and in 1822 they moved to Trenton, Oneida Co., NY where he worked at his trade (a cooper) until 1832 when they moved to Chautauqua Co., and purchased land and cleared a farm, living there until 1852 when they came to Wisconsin and settled in Albany, where she resided until her death. Mr. and Mrs. Peckham were the parents of 11 children, 8 of whom survive. Her husband died in 1865 and since that time she has made her home with her son, W.S. Peckham. Early in life she united with the Baptist Church and was a consistent and faithful member until her death. She died June 14, 1894 , aged nearly 94 years.
