Wi Obituaries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Wi/GreenObits/10576 Surname: Flint, Newbury ------------------------- Albany, Green County, Wisconsin Vindicator, Thursday, December 6, 1894 Joshua Flint was born in Antrim, Hillsborough County NH Jan. 26, 1826. He removed to Erie Co. NY in 1828 and to Chautauqua Co in 1830. In the early part of 1842 he came to Rock County, Wis. locating on Rock Prairie. He was married Sept. 12, 1847 to Sally A. Newbury and in 1849 came to Green County locating on Section 22, town of Albany, where he lived until May 3, 1894, when he purchased a home in the village, where he has since resided. Mr. and Mrs. Flint have been the parents of 4 children, 3 of whom -- Aaron B., Esther S. and Frank S., -- survive him together with their mother who for over 47 years lived with him in the holy state of matrimony. About 18 years ago, in a series of meetings held in the Peebles School house by the Rev. Robert Smith, he experienced religion and although he has never united with any church has since lived a consistent Christian life. Besides his immediate family he leaves a large circle of relatives and friends who mourn his loss. Everybody who knew him was his friend and he was a friend to everybody. His last illness was very brief, only two weeks, and he did not take to his bed until the morning of the day he died. He retained the full use of his faculties to the last and suffered no pain. He was a good husband, a good father, a good neighbor and a good friend. A good man has gone home to God. J.M.
