After a few long days of research, I have figured out that GORDEE was not the original family surname. Since the family was Norwegian, I have figured that they are following the old Norwegian naming patterns, hence Ole is Knud's son. Ole Knudson. One of his sons, Ben, started the last name GORDEE in 1878 and everyone later followed suit. Ole had three separate wives, I think Isabel was his wife during 1875. They seemed to be the only KNUDSON in the township of Jordan on the 1870 & 1880 census'. Once again thanks for your help. It is extremely appreciated!!! 8-) If anyone else is researching the family name KNUDSON, it seems that I am too now. Diane Kriese
