Wi Obituaries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Wi/GreenObits/10623 Surname: Jackson ------------------------- The funeral service of Captain Thomas A JAckson were held in Brodhead on February 15 1908. At the breaking out of the civil war he inlisted in the Company B 18th infantry Wisconsin. One year later he was given the office of first lieutenant. He served one year in that capacity. He was advanced to captain by reason of gallantry on the field.After the close of the war he removed to Greene county Wisc.He was elected and filled the office of sheriff for one term.He was later elected a member of the Badger legislature in 1869 and served with distiction in that capacity. His widow Mary Ann Jackson survives.Of their nine children the following are living:Mrs Thomas Springer of Cedar Falls, Marshall Jackson of Centralia Wash:F.M. Jackson of Colby Wisc; Walter E Jackson of Waterloo; Mrs R V Bartlett of Waterloo and Miss Clara Jackson who resides in Waterloo.
