    3. Hey List, I am looking for information on Hesden Pryor King and his family and I am hoping that someone on this list will be able to assist me. Hesden Pryor King was born on September 11, 1812 in Suffield, Hartford, Connecticut and he died on July 1, 1866 in Jordan, Green, Wisconsin. In a newspaper article I received that was dated in 1908, it states that Hesden and his wife Minerva and their five (5) sons went to Wisconsin in 1858 and settled on a farm in Jordan. It was in Jordan that the sixth (6) son was born, Charles F. King. My 2nd great grandfather, George Richards King was the oldest of the six (6) King boys. George enlisted in the Wisconsin 31st Infantry on November 10, 1862 and mustered out on May 12, 1865. He returned to Jordan, Green County after stopping in Kane County, Illinois to get married to Mariah Campbell. George and Mariah had two (2) boys while they lived in Jordan, Charles W. King and George T. King. It was sometime after the birth of George and the birth of their daughter Minerva in 1870 that they migrated down into Nebraska. My quest is to find confirming evidence that Hesden and his family were in Jordan, Green County during this time period. I would also like to confirm that George Richards King and his family were there also during this period. Is there someone or somewhere I can contact to confirm this information? Does someone have a copy of the 1860 Federal Census for Green County that could help me? Is there a genealogical society I could contact for this information. I would like to thank the list in advance for their patience and any assistance available. Vern King Jacksonville, NC
