Graves Griffin, wife of W.W. Griffin, died at the family residence 2 1/2 miles southeast of Albany Wednesday, January 13, 1892, aged 70 years, 1 month and 3 days. She was born in Greenfield, Mass., Dec. 10, 1821, and was married to Wm. Griffin on Feburary 12, 1843. They were the parents of nine children, seven of whom are living, and were present at the funeral of their beloved mother. Mrs. Griffin was only sick about one week, but having been in feeble health for several years, was unable to withstand the ravages of the disease. She lived to see a ripe old age and died with a strong hope of immortality. The funeral was held at the M.E. Church Friday afternoon, Rev. H.A. Rogers officiating and was largely attended. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community.
