Wi Obituaries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Wi/GreenObits/10531 Surname: Talmadge ------------------------- Albany, Green County Wisconsin Vindicator, Thursday, August 25, 1892 Died--At the home of her parents, in this village, on August 17, 1892, Ione Talmadge, youngest daughter of J.F. and Sarah Jane Talmadge, aged 3 years and 10 months. Little Ione with her lovely disposition won friends among the old as well as the young. She was dearly loved by everyone and will be sadly missed. Being the youngest, she was naturally made much of by the whole family and relatives. Always pleasing and winning in her ways, she seemed to attract the attention of all she met. She died of an affection of the throat, to which she had been subject for about two years, but appeared to enjoy general good health, and was playing about the yard until a few hours of her death. So suddenly snatched away, the shock seemed almost unbearable, but the deep sympathy and consoling words of kind friends and neighbors, so lovingly bestowed, were sincerely appreciated and will be long remembered. The funeral services were held at the M.E. Church Friday at 2:00 pm. The sermon was preached by the Rev. H.A. Rogers from Luke 18:10 was very appropriate to the occasion and consoling to the bereaved parents, after which the remains were laid to rest in the village cemetery until the final day, when they will be raised to a glorious immortality with all the redeemed of Christ.
