Wi Obituaries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Wi/GreenObits/10529 Surname: Hills, Coburn, McNutt ------------------------- Albany, Green County Wisconsin Vindicator, Thursday, March 5, 1891 Died--in this village on Feb. 25, 1891, Mr. Price Hills, in the 75th year of his age. Price Hills was born in the town of Truxton, Courtlandt County, NY in 1816. In the year 1818 he moved with his parents to Onondage Co, NY. He was married to Miss Eunice Coburn in 1841, who died soon afterwards. In 1844 he came to Wisconsin, where he married his second wife, Miss Caroline McNutt, mother of his present family. In the spring of 1850 he went with a party overland to California, where he remained about five years. He then came back and lived here until 1864, then moving his family to Iowa, spending one year, going from there to Kansas. There his wife died on Dec. 1, 1867. He then came back to Albany with his youngest daughter, making his home here until his death. He was the father of five children, four of whom survive him. Mr. Hills was converted about 40 years ago and joined the Second Advent Church. His was a long, lingering sickness of about 5 years, yet he bore it all with patience and met death with resignation. "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord". The funeral was held Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. H.A. Rogers, who spoke words of comfort to the sorrowing ones left behind. Sympathy to them is given by the entire community.
