Wi Obituaries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Wi/GreenObits/10518 Surname: Kellogg ------------------------- Albany, Green County Wisconsin Vindicator, Thursday January 14, 1892 Kellogg-At his residence in this city, on Saturday, January 9, 1892, Aaron Kellogg, aged 87 years, 11 months and 1 day. Aaron Kellogg was born in Floyd, New York, Feb. 8, 1804, where he grew to manhood. In 1824 he was married to Diantha Parker, and in the same year removed to Michigan. In 1838 he came to Wisconsin, settling first at Janesville, later at Exeter and finally in Albany, which has since been his home. Mrs. Kellogg passed to the better land in December, 1879. Ten children were born to them, only four of whom are now living. The subject of this sketch has been variously employed as hotel keeper, farmer, miner, miller, merchant, and soldier, serving over a year in Company E, 14th Wisconsin Volunteers at the age of 58 and was honorably discharged on account of disability. Mr. Kellogg was a worthy citizen, conscientious in his dealings with his fellow man. In 1880 he united with the Baptist Church, being a faithful member at the time of his death. The funeral was held from the Baptist Church Monday afternoon, Rev. J.C. Carter conducting the services and the remains tenderly laid to rest in the Albany cemetery.
