Wi Obituaries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Wi/GreenObits/10546 Surname: Flint, Simmons ------------------------- Albany, Green County Wisconsin Vindicator, Thursday, December 31, 1891 Flint-At her residence n this village on Friday, December 25, 1891, Mrs. Thomas Flint, aged 62 years, 3 months and 5 days. Mrs. Flint, whose maiden name was Simmons, was born in Berlin, NY on Sept. 20, 1829. When quite young she came west and was married to Thomas Flint in July of 1846. She was converted at the age of 15 and united with the Christian Church. On coming west she severed her connection with that church, and joined the Congregational church in this city in 1858, remaining a faithful member as long as the organization continued. She has always been a regular attendant at church, an active Christian, and foremost in all good work. She has ever been a good neighbor, helping the needy and afflicted and comforting the sorrowing. During her last sickness she was thoughtful of her attendants, and desirous of causing as little trouble as possible to those around her. Having a large number of grandchildren and loving each one, she had set aside a certain sum with which to buy them Christmas gifts, but the dawn of the day which we commemorate as the day on which Christ was born saw her released from pain, and her soul fled to the better land. Five of the six children who were born to her, with the husband, are left to mourn the loss of a perfect mother and faithful wife. May the thought that she has entered into the perfect rest comfort them in this dark hour of affliction. The funeral was held at the M.E. Church on Sunday, Rev. H.A. Rogers delivering an appropriate and comforting sermon. The large gathering of relatives and friends testified to the love and esteem sincerely felt for the departed.
