She was married to David Rugg September 21, 1837 and came with him to this country in 1869, settling on the farm which has since been their home. Mrs. Rugg was of a reticent nature and sought few friends but was well liked by all who knew her. She was a professing Christian, although not a member of any church, and died in a strong faith in the hereafter. Her aged husband, four sons and two daughters are left with desolate hearts to mourn their loss. The funeral was held at the Gap Church on Sunday, Evangelist Dillard conducting the services.
