Hello, I'm looking for info on husband's mother's family. Her parents were Henry MARTY, born 20 Jan 1895 in Mt Pleasant twp, Green Co, WI, died 17 May 1981 in Monroe, WI. He married Rose GEHRIG, daughter of Johannes GEHRIG and Elisabeth DREIER, on 3 March 1921 in Monroe. She was born 16 Aug 1897 in Canton Bern, Switzerland and died 30 Nov, 1986 in Monroe, WI. They are both buried in Monroe. Henry's father was John MARTY, born 3 Jan 1843 in Monticello, Green Co, WI and died 16 Feb 1938 in Monticello. He married Anna BABLER, daughter of Henry BABLER and Barbara ??, in 1878 in Green Co, WI. She was born 10 Dec 1853 in Monroe and died in Monticello (I don't have a date). John MARTY's dad, was John MARTY, sr, born 18 June 1818 in Engi, Switzerland and died May 1911 in Monroe, WI. He married Marie STAUFFACHER in 1841 in Switzerland. She was born in Switzerland (no date), and died 25 Dec, 1884 in Monroe, WI. Where can I find obits in Green Co? Do I write to the Green Co courthouse for death certificates?
