Phillip Whipple b. in 1788 in Vermont, lived in New York where he married Sally (Sarah) Chappell and had 8 children.In 1850 census was in DeKalb Co. Indiana. Went to Wisconson about 1852 with his sons and daughter Mary Ann who married Alonzo Fenton. They all settled around Attica,Brodhead,Brooklyn & Monroe in Green County Wi. Mary Matthews
