    1. Magee
    2. John, Sr. & Jane (Woolsey) Magee immigrated to Ontario about 1822. Some, if not all, of their 8 children ended up in Green County 1845/1850. John, Jr. (my g.grandfather) lived in Exeter Twp., widowed with 6 children on 1850 census. Daughter Eliza Jane m. Robert Marshall 1861, had dau. Eliza, son Henry (what happened to Eliza & Henry?). Eliza Jane d. 1869 & Robert m. her sister, Matilda in 1869. Robert d. 1871. Two children of John, Jr. moved to MN but the other two, Margaret & John, Jr.#2, I cannot account for. George, also son of John, Sr. & Jane, is mentioned in "History of Green County" (1884); his children were: Jennie m. to F. Sherger, Evansville, Mary m. to A.S.Lewis, Julia m. to A.W.Patterson of Howard Co., NE, Hattie widow of John T.O.Swager, Evansville, Emma m. to O. Case., Wm. on homestead, Lillie m. to Walter Hopkins & George, Jr. m. to Effie Marshall. I do know of Wm.'s descendants. Do any descendants of the other children know where in Ireland the Magees came from? They also had a son, James but not sure if this is the right one. Appears on 1860 census without a wife but with son, William, age 15. Son Woolsey went west with the Gold Rush about 1850. Son William - can't account for. Daughters Alice, Jane, and Mary. Jane could possibly be the one m. to John Deyell in 1847 in Green Co. Does any of this info fit into anybody else's searches???? Sincerely appreciate your help.
