OK! NOW my interest is piqued! My interest in Green Co. is from my mother's side of the family. This line was (and some may still be in) Green Co. (Stover? Michael? Heltman? I'm still looking!) I saw the "Burt" request, but didn't think too much about it. Then saw the reply from [email protected] about Burts in, for heaven's sake!, Stockton, NY. A line of my FATHER'S family was in Stockton. My 3 gr grandfather, William Luce, married Lydia BURT in Massachusetts before moving to Stockton/Charlotte in 1835. I have not yet started searching the Burt line, but could there be a connection? And how wild it would be to have 2 totally unrelated lines wind up in the same county 'way out west?! At least from a Western New York point of view! Dawn Amos Olympia, WA
