It seems that they found 3 of my WINNEY relatives buried at Scott Cemetery EXCEPT there seems to be a major flaw. I am hoping that the flaw is a mis-reading of the tombstone or cemetery record because everything else is correct! Here are the Winneys who I believe are my family members who are buried in Scott Cemetery: "W. H. [Winney], 1849-1870 father Sarah E. wf Dec 17, 1871 19 y 9m 22d b. 1852 Lillie Infant 1871 dau of WH & SE" Everything makes sense with my records except for W.H. Winney dying in 1870! For example, he was mentioned in the 1870 Glen Haven twp. Census record, with wife Elizabeth (she was Sarah Elizabeth) and under-one year old Anna Elizabeth Winney (my GGrandmother). So he was alive at least up to the point where they took the Census record that year. W.H. Winney of Grant Co., with daughter Anna E., remarried a widow Mary Hickock Stryphen in 1873. And W.H. Winney's Will had the first person mentioned in the Will as my GGrandmother, even before his second wife was mentioned in 1907. So W.H. Winney dying in 1870 just doesn't jibe although everything else about the Scott Cemetery record does jibe! And he seems to be buried near W.J. Winney who is my GGGGrandfather whose wife was named Anna E. as well. So what am I to do about W.H. Winney's death occurring in in 1870 according to the Scott Census records???
