Thanks to some wonderful people on the internet I was able to connect with distant cousins of my gg grandmother. There was a wonderful woman who put together a book about the Dahlenburg family history. It has over 200 pages of wonderful stories, pictures, recipes, and momentos from weddings and funerals, as well as several obits. I have asked permission to reprint parts of the book because there are so many family names from Iowa, South Dakota and Wisconsin. As I have time I will send bits and pieces that may help others. There are so many wonderfully kind and generous people out there who have become friends and have been willing to help search for information. Being a newbie- the offers have been amazing.
