My grandfather was Alfred Armfield, who was born 4/18/1888 in LeMars, Iowa. He married Bessie Mabel Mathena 8/20/1913 in Missouri Valley, Iowa, in 1918. At the time of his marriage, he was going by the name Alfred Armfield Johnson. Alfred died in June 1966 and is buried in Graceland Park Cemetery, Sioux City, Iowa. Bessie died about 1977 and is also buried in Graceland Park. Alfred's father was Wesley Armfield, b. May 24, 1842 in Tipton, Henry County, Indiana. He married Mary Fruechtenicht on May 16, 1882 in LeMars, Plymouth, Iowa. Wesley died 10/1898 in LeMars, Iowa. Mary was born September 01, 1862 in Cleveland, Ohio, and died November 15, 1942 in Sioux City, Iowa. I have Wesley's line of descent as: Wesley Armfield Isaac "Ike" Armfield (1814 to 8-17-1886) Jacob Armfield (abt 1773 - bef 1850) William "Little Billy" Armfield, Jr. (abt 1746 - abt 1833) William Armfield, Sr. (1720) John Armfield (1695-1792) Here's my query. I'm trying to find out if my Ggfather Wesley had a family other than my grandfather. I have a World Family Tree file that indicates that Wesley was married to Adalade "Addie" Rowe. They were married December 21, 1865 in Montfort, Grant, Wisconsin. Adalade was born September 25, 1846 in Wisconsin and died September 25, 1925. Also, this WFT family shows *two* people, "Adalade Addie Rowe" and "Adeline Rowe" with the same birthdate. I don't know if this is a duplicate record and an error in the database, or if there were, actually twin sisters. In searching the 1900 census, I found citations for two of the three individuals that the WTF files indicate were a result of the union between Adalade Rowe and Wesley Armfield. (The third child died before the census was conducted). There is also an "Adel~~~ Rowe in the 1900 census but the record is smudge and I can't read it. This is the information I have on the children: Charles Wesley Armfield b July 21, 1868 d March 19, 1947 Lyman Edmund Armfield b May 14, 1871m Sophia E. Stivarius March 16, 1898 Fennimore, Grant, Wisconsin Do you have any information on any of these people that would confirm or refute the existence of this other family?
