I've gotten an email lately that told me I sent an attachment ... and I didn't. I've updated and run Norton and found nothing. I don't understand the reference to the patch: if Norton can't find anything, are we considered uninfected? Do we use the removal tool even if Norton can't find anything? I'm very confused. Susan

    3. Susan, you may have been infected before you updated your Norton. Go to the url that I listed, and follow the instructions. It will scan your system for the worm/virus, and eradicate it from your system. The patch I mentioned, is just a word to describe the "tool" that Symantec has available for removing this worm. It's the ONLY way you can remove it if you have it. http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.klez.removal.tool.html If you'll look at the url, you'll see that it names it the klez.removal tool. It won't hurt to run the tool anyway. I did just as a precaution. When it has finished looking for the worm, it will tell you what it found. It told me that all instances (versions) of the worm was not found on my system.
