Patrick, do you know whether Mary's parents died and were buried in Grant County? If so, you may be able to determine what parish they belonged to by locating copies of their obituaries. Also, In some of the Catholic church records I've managed to procure, there are occasionally references to the other parishes where the individual was baptised, rec'd first communion, got married, etc. So your Mary's church records in Dubuque may indicate where she was baptised.
