    1. RIEDEL - possible ties to my Marie ElizabethRiedel Garbisch from Prussia
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: RIEDEL....Garbisch - Wegner Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/lEC.2ACE/1078 Message Board Post: I noticed many Riedel names up in the Granton WI area and wonder if someone out there in these families might have information that would tie my Riedel line to theirs/yours? My line is a Marie Elizabeth Riedel who was born about 1802 and she married a George Garbisch & they immigrated from Prussia (Klein Ujeschutz Silesia) about 1840 - they came with Lutherans anyway, this couple & their children lived in the Mequon area of WI and lived out their final days with daughter Johanna Garbisch who married a Wilhelm WEGNER (William Wagner) - in the 1870s and 1880s, you can find George in the home of Wilhelm - so because of the Riedel Ties already, and because some of the Garbisch line ended up moving to Clark CO WI, Grant and Granton areas, when I see RIEDEL names up there, I have to wonder, are they not related to my Marie E? It is always worth asking - and finally DO YOU HAVE PHOTOS - I have a book called the Garbisch garden with much info but no photos of George & Marie Garbisch or Johanna their dau who married Wilhelm Wegner (if I remember right - lots of photos in there, but the further back we go, there are just not much in the way of pictures/portraits) So anyone with info on the Riedels, please write Or if you happen to have photos on any of the above mentioned people & their line would love to hear from you as photos are the absolute best thanks for listening SUE
