Martha Jones spent most of her life in Grant County. However, in 1900 she is living in Rock County. In the Wisconsin Deaths, 1820-1907 there is listed a Martha M. Jones, Volume 3, Reel 118; however, the death date appears to be wrong. It has 1 Apr 1813 for death date in Rock County. If it is really 1913 it's past the dates of the book so I'm wondering if there is a transcription problem. I have tried to find her death in Rock County and Grant County as well as her burial location with no success except for this possibility in this book. If anyone has access to some resources who can clear this up or find her for me it would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Mike Peterson

Mike, I encourage you to pursue the record despite the date given. At ancestry.com, I've searched the WI Deaths Index database for Rock County deaths recorded in Vol 03, Reel 118. With the exception of Martha M. JONES and (death date listed as Apr 1 1813) and William Sylves JONES (death date listed as Apr 7 1813), all the deaths took place between 1899 and 1905.
