This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Johnson, Warner/Werner Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/lEC.2ACE/1081 Message Board Post: I am trying to document that my great great grandparents Lars/Louis Johnson and Karine lived in Boscobel Grant County. He immigrated to this area about 1861 from Hurum (Buskerud) Norway and I believe he had a farm though whether he owned it or worked on one, I don't know. It is also possible that he ran a boarding house, though all the rest of his life he was a farmer, so not likely. He moved up to Chipawee County by the 1870 census and then settled permantely in Barron County. All of this I have well documented. Since it was between the census, I am not sure how to proceed. His daughter Inger Hermanna Johnson was married there between 1866-69 to Gustav Werner/Warner. I have not been able to find a record of this. I believe there was a Norwegian Lutheran Church in Boscobel, but don't know where the records are or what Church now is the one that it was connected with. My goal is to document that they lived in Bascobel. Suggestions would be appreciated Thank you Jeanie
