Yup, dear Mary -- I could have and no doubt should have given more. Actually, I was on a fishing expedition and "cfritz" wrote back and said her family was "Francis" Wagener. So, that really did answer my question without any further ado with "cfritz." I just hadn't counted on YOU, dear person, to want to help me.....I'm always being surprised at the wonderful helpfulness of people in the genealogy community -- and you are one of the best. My deepest thanks for your assistance and I promise I will try to do better next time. Wisconsin is the state where I have done the most looking -- but I do still have a few dead ends. I wish I had a magic wand. My people were mostly in Jackson County -- and Jackson County just isn't getting on the band wagon with information on line -- but I am also always grateful for Joan Benner -- she is very helpful, too.
