    3. Michael, Last autumn I went down to Karmann Library and spent a partial day there. The staff was wonderful and helped me with things which had previously been troublesome. I even got to hold the naturalization records I was seeking which were approaching 100 years old! The public library in town holds a series of microfilms so you may want to stop there and get a copy of the list. It is very near the University library. http://www.weld.lib.co.us/plattevil.html or http://platteville.wi.us/localinfo/library.html In the end, I came away with more than I planned to find. Records for relatives who lived there for a time before moving to St. Paul, old newspaper stories about uncles and more work than I will ever be able to complete. It was a very rewarding trip and I plan to go back when the weather warms up a little more and the spring flowers are up. Happy trails.
