    1. Re: [WIGRANT] Wilsey (TAYLOR, HARVEY)
    2. Thanks Earlene, Common surnames can be a pain to research, but it can't hurt to try long shots in hopes of digging up a connection. I hope you do find that brickwall buster and locate your WILSEY cousins and info on Lydia! Did you ever find Elizabeth's land purchase records? It doesn't look like Lydia's brother, Alexander had time to have many, if any children (Charles?). Unless that family had some male cousins who traveled from PA to WI with or before them, they don't appear to be related TAYLOR to he who married Rebecca RISTER. Allan TAYLOR, mentioned in previous posts re the surname, may prove a relation. When I get time to track that family, I'll order a list of TAYLOR burials from the GCGS. Various kin have been grateful to avail them of that service for a number of surnames during that last couple of decades. That wonderful service would have saved many of us a lot of paper cuts, mosquito bites, and sore feet and necks, if available a decade or so, earlier. <G> I neglected to include dates on the HARVEY-SHINOE marriages. Though they aren't likely a match with your folk, as you've pointed out, for those who may read these messages looking for these names, I'll key the dates. As quoted below, the marriages took place 1875 and 1878, respectively. Hny HARVEY b. 1847 Jas b. abt. 1852, Remsen, IA. Keep on diggin! ... Don't forget to keep good maps of your rooting, dug and not yet dug.
