Since Grant County borders Jo Daviess County, Ill- might want to check there. I have seen some Ellis's, but I don't remember a Washington. My ancestors lived in Galena, Jo Daviess County, Ill, but got married in Grant County Wisconsin. Good Luck!! Helen
