C. Doolittle Answers Final Call Sunday Morning; Victim of Heart Attack Dr. J. C. Doolittle, 52, Lancaster, a former Evansville resident and cousin of Charles D. Doolittle, 25 North Madison Street, this city, died suddenly Sunday morning following a heart attack. He had been troubled with arthritis for sometime but was not seriously ill. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the home with burial in the Lancaster cemetery. Those from this locality attending were Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Doolittle, this city and Mrs. Claude Doolittle and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Severson, Stoughton. Dr. Doolittle, a son of the late Emery and Kate Doolittle, was born in Brodhead and resided in Evansville with his parents for a number of years during which time his father was associated with the Grange store. At the time of his death Dr. Doolittle was at the head of a hospital in Lancaster. Besides his wife, he is survived by two children; two sisters, Mrs. George Dixon, Brodhead, and another sister in California; and one brother, Dr. S. W. Doolittle, Lancaster. Two brothers, Mark of the state of Washingon, and Claude of Stoughton have died during the last year. May 24, 1934, Evansville Review, p. 8, col. 2, Evansville, Wisconsin
